Tea & Coffee:
Tea & coffee is available in the Hall after 9.00am Mass. Everyone is welcome.
Kids Craft Club:
Come and join the fun. Lots of colouring, drawing and sticking! £2 per family. Toast and juice provided.
Good progress has been made this week and our bells will be transported to the bell foundry during the coming week. Meanwhile the church porch remains closed and all access will be via the ramp. A couple of the bells are on view at the back of church together with a collage of photographs; please take some time to have a look.
A tremendous success with very good attendances throughout, over 600 attended Mass in St Joseph's on Easter Sunday alone.
BASE Youth Group:
BASE Youth Group meet this Thursday the 16th from 7pm to 8.30pm. The youth club meets at St Joseph's Parish Hall every other Thursday from 7pm to 8.30pm. Why not join us and have some fun! We have table tennis, pool, music, tuck shop and more. Admission only £1.00.
Today we will be collecting food and toiletries at each Mass this weekend for Cenacolo. Thank you for your support.
Family Quiz Night:
Family quiz night on Sat. 18th April at 7.00pm. to include pie & peas. Cost £6 adults £3 children. Bring your own drink. Tickets now available.
Many of you will remember Wilf, who used to look after the garden here at church. Wilf died recently in Wigan where he had been staying with his daughter. His funeral is at Ince Crematorium on Thursday 16th April at 11.30am. He was the last in the line of his family who all had a long association with St. Joseph’s including looking after the garden. At a future date his ashes will be buried in our Garden of Remembrance and there will be a gathering in the Hall afterwards to remember him. Rest in peace.

Mill Hill M Freshfield:
A letter has been received from Fr. Joe Geoghegan MHM who many of you will remember was in our parish with Fr. Bill Dowds MHM. He is appealing for our financial help for his old parish in Kenya. They are drilling for a new water bore hole. A special collection for this worthy cause will take place after all Masses next weekend 18th/19th April.

Mens Prayer Breakfast:
Because of Easter the monthly ecumenical meeting at St Paul’s shop will be a week later than usual, on Saturday 11th April at 8.15am.
Morecambe Bay Walk:
To celebrate Year of the Consecrated Life will take place on Saturday 30 May as part of a whole weekend of celebrations hosted by the Hyning Monastery and Boarbank. Young people are particularly invited to participate. To get further details email Sr Margaret Atkins,
Tea And Chat:
The Session on Friday 10th April will unfortunately be cancelled and we will resume on Friday 24th April.
Sister Julie and Mary Ackman who lead our Diocesan Evangelisation incentive has agreed to visit us at St Joseph's to talk about
her diocesan role in evangelisation
the Catholic Bishops project called 'proclaimed 15' set out in the Catholic Voice
our own plans for evangelisation.
It is proposed to invite St Peter's parish and representatives of the deanery. The original date for this meeting was to have been 22nd April. This has had to be postponed, but we hope to reschedule for a date perhaps in May. Watch this space.
