Each week, this page is refreshed with parish news. The Feasts & Intentions page is also refreshed weekly with both mass times (including any weekly changes) and which feasts and intentions are being celebrated each day of the coming week.

New This Week (21st and 28th December 2014)

Christmas Mass Times: 
This year at St Josephs, Midnight Mass will be at 11.00pm, preceded by Carols and Readings at 10.30pm. Mass on Christmas Day will be at 9.00am.
At St Peter's, Vigil Mass on Christmas Eve is at 8.00pm, preceded by Carols and Readings at 7.30pm. Mass on Christmas Day will be at 10.30am.

Eileen Draper:
Fr Peter Draper, Joy and family would like to thank everyone who attended Eileen's funeral and for the many Mass and sympathy cards received, and the pryers offered. Holy Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Christmas Cards:
Christmas Cards are available at the back of church with details of all the Mass times for Christmas time and also Peace and Joy window posters. Please take one of each.
Advent calendars, Christmas cards, Nativity sets and other Christmas gifts are on sale as  well as our selection of general cards, rosary beads etc. We also have CD's of Christmas carols from the Liverpool Cathedral choir for sale.
Kids Craft Club:
Starts Sunday 14th December in the hall after 9am Mass. £2 per family. Toast and Coffee available. Please come along and bring the kids! We will have lots of crafty fun!!
we will be collecting food and toiletries for the Food Band at St. Cuthbert's Blackpool & Cenacolo House, Dodding Green, Kendal. The next collection of tins, dries food, toothpaste & toilet soap will be after every Mass over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of January & will be donated to Cenacolo. Please be generous. (No alcohol please).
Men's Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast:
The next Men's Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast at St. Pauls Shop, Woodlands Road is at 8.15am next Saturday the 3rd of January. New members are alway welcome. The meeting lasts about an hour with scripture, prayer for the local community, and a continental breakfast.
Eucharistic Ministers:
Eucharistic Ministers please collect your new rotas from the back of church. Thank you. 
Wednesday Word: 
The Wednesday Word is available from the back of church to help prepare for next Sunday’s readings.
Confirmation Programme: 
Begins on Wednesday 26th November at 7.00 til 8.00pm in St Joseph’s Church Hall. If young people were not baptised here or at St Peter’s, please bring a baptismal certificate. Sessions will normally be on Wednesday evenings (apart from Monday 8th December). The date of the Confirmation Mass is Thursday 29th January 2015.
The Sacramental Preparation Program (First Holy Communion): 
The program for children in year 3 or above who wish to make their First Holy Communion in June 2015 will be starting soon. There will be a meeting for parents with Fr. David and the catechists on Thursday the 27th of November at 6.30pm. Would parents who wish their child to be part of this preparation please phone Mrs. Drake.
